Hmmm.. there a lot of these out there... have you ever considered a reseller program? Letting someone buy pixels in bulk and then reselling them at a higher rate? There are a ton of marketing people on the forums. Maybe offer a 50/50 revenue split with a reseller. I would be interested in letting one of my consultants give that a try.
Other then that go to the businesses you know first. Once you get a few advertisers you'll have a better selling platform.
Hmmm.. I just took another look. I do non-profit consulting and I work with some of the biggest names in the industry: The Salvation Army, The American Red Cross, and Goodwill Industries. If you team up with a big name charity you can use their marketing lists to solicit potential advertisiers.... your on to something then... PM me
