    G'day from Down Under

    Hey guys and gals

My name is Tony, I'm an internet game designer/developer.

My Biggest project to date is about 2 years old - TrackKing.org (I can't link because I am new here)
Track King is a thinkers game - not a button-mashing arcade game

My biggest challenge at the moment is trying to reach the right audience. I've done the old Google Ads...including targetting certain sites (which has worked the best so far). Also done most of the Social Networking stuff.

Generally, when people hear "game" the more mature generation of person will disregard - even though in this case they are probably close to the ideal demographic. Conversely, the younger generation come instantly to check it out, sign up, and then realise they have to use their brain and so drift away.

Any helpful advice would be appreciated!

    Hi hairboy,

Welcome to the forum, always great to have another aussie on board. I'm from Sydney

With regards to your site, it's definitely a difficult niche. You're probably looking at people aged 18-30 as your main audience and in this case the word game should be fine.

The name and domain aren't brilliant in my opinion. It's pretty similar to a tycoon game from what I can tell. TrackTycoon.com is available, could be worth considering.

    Catch you round.

Are there any other games like this or similar? What are your competitors doing to get past the "game" stigma?
