Fresh meat for the sharks @ YE - Entrepreneur / Programmer

Hello business minds of the net,

I am Josh and I have been a web geek for almost a decade now. My specialty is an internet programmer but I also minor in design / development & graphic arts. The official company name is Better Advertising, but I gave up doing business in the physical world after years of success.

You see, my wife got a great job and I got to quit working for the man (who needs him). Now my only concern is to get us to retirement as quickly as possible. For me, that number is $3 million so I'll be hanging around for at least 6 months or so

I found my way here from the DP forums earlier today and have decided to stick around for a while. I must say that I may not qualify as "young" @ 32 but I feel that younger entrepreneurs more fit my style of work as I have no desire to open up shop anywhere that is surrounded by brick & mortar.

So, if anyone has some internet ideas they want to run past me ... I'm all ears and will always give you an honest answer, even if it's not what you want to hear. I also have a few projects that are almost complete that I will be looking for some financial backing on in the near future. Basically, whatever you bring to the table I can use to make us a few $$$$.

Many online businesses are much cheaper than they appear when you have a qualified programmer (that's me), unlimited hosting (that's me too) and a legal staff (thanks prepaid legal) to bounce legalities off of. I am willing to co-op for ownership so we can all reach that $3 million number as quickly as possible. Hope that's enough money for you, lets get started.

Wow, you plan on retiring on $3 million in your early thirties... do you plan on dying in your 50's ?

Growing up in Memphis, I've already lived past my life expectancy :]

Using the safest of all investments I can yield 6% easily. Check out this math $3000000 x .06 = $180k / year. I'm relatively humble and would be able to squeeze by with that amount.

Important: Everyone's version of retirement is different. What I actually mean is that I could retire (quit working) at any moment. Retirement for me still adds up to days spent in front of my computer. This is more than a job or hobby for me ... it's a passion. I truly love what I do!

I've got 1 of the PMs and am looking forward to more.
