First Day on....

Hey everyone....from the small town of Punta Gorda, FL. Not sure how Ive missed this board before but I figured Id jump on now.

About Me: I have a home based business website that does pretty well. Ive gotten to the point where I can make good money on overrides, so it has freed up my schedule quite a bit and I am starting to build a site thats more along the lines of my interests (a sports based social networking site). This will be the first one I am taking from the ground up so Im hoping to learn from people on the board about some of the more technical aspects about building/maintaining a website. Basically, the stuff I pay to have done or outsource now. Im always looking to learn more and get into new stuff, so Im sure Ill pick up plenty of good info throughout the threads....especially the IT section.

Also, does anyone know if this forum emails you when there is responses to a post, or do you just keep checking back?

If you are going to be active on the forum... don't use the email setting.. it gets real annoying... just keep checking back.. or you can click on your own name in the control panel to find your recent posts..

Your site is sharp.. I read a few of your blog posts.. pretty good... I'm not a big fan of your line of work.. but I'm not going to knock it either... feel free to ask questions and throw around ideas on YE.. look forward to reading your posts!

Welcome! I am glad you have found success on the Internet. There are a lot of really good suggestions here and for the most part, everyone is nice to everyone else. Good luck on your new project.

Just curious...what do you mean by line of work? Internet marketing?

And thanks about the site. Unfortunately I cant take credit, I had a friend build it off a template. About all I can do is update the articles, blogs, and audio stuff.
