First Business/Site!

Well I have created the website theNaturalSelection.info

This is a quick business plan I have written out:

Business Plan
Goals:500 dollars a month.

Plan: Make a website that provides high quality reviews of products, have affiliate links built into these reviews.

Pets: 10 – 20 reviews, make money in them
Next Niche: 10 – 20 reviews, make money with it
Next Niche: 10 – 20 reviews, make money with it
Make the website a membership website that costs 3 dollars a month to be subscribed to one niche, and 10 dollars a month to all the niches.
Next niche: 10-20 and so on…

While submitting these articles also submit articles that make the reader want to visit the website in order to come see the entire article.

Also want to start a newsletter for each niche at some point.

I would really appreciate some feedback on it and would love some suggestions as well.

Thanks,
Lee

That's not really a business plan. It provides absolutely no information whatsoever abotu your business and how it will operate, let alone your strategy for making it successful.

You are basically going into the content creation business. You may want to partner up with a site that provides the products you are going to review. You would need a ton (thousands) of reviews to get people to come to your site. Content creation is big right now so you do have a decent idea.

Go to google and type 'how to write a business plan'. You need to refine your plan and make it look a little more..... ummm... as Joshua said... this is more of an outline of an idea right now... a business plan has a lot more info... take a few days and then repost

There are so many free review sites I think you have to toss the idea of paid membership for a general products site like this. If you were reviewing some specialty product with a high cost and you brought some real expertise to the table that might be a different story.

As far as just creating content and sticking affiliate links in, that's fine, but there are also a million of these sites. You need to drive traffic to make any money and that is the hard part. Come up with a strategy to differentiate yourself from the millions of other review sites that will help you pull in traffic, and then you have something.

I will work on the business plan in a little bit, but why will this not work because of a membership those were rough prices they may be lower but if there is over 100 reviews why wouldn't someone want to subscribe to it... especially if the reviews are good and worthwhile.

And as far as traffic I have begun to do things like submitting to directories, going to pet forums, yahoo answers, and even the odd facebook group.
