Hello Everyone,

My name is Jeff. I graduated college last year with a degree in Accounting and Computer Science. Currently I have a job with a large company, but I have thoughts of one day opening a small firm. I'd love to be kind of a one stop shop for startup and small business support, encompassing accounting (bookkeeping, payroll, taxes), IT (procurement, deployment, management, support), and some consulting. My goal would be to develop deep relationships with and provide multiple services to a smaller number of clients.

I plan to stick with my job for the time being, but I would really like to start getting some experience on the side. I'm sure there are plenty of startups out there that need some help in these areas and are on a tight budget. Send me a PM and let me know what I can help you with! I'm looking for experience, not to make loads of money.

I'm very pleased to have recently discovered this site. It seems like a very active community, and a great support system for entrepreneurs.

Bizalchemist-

My interests and experience are somewhat diverse. On the Accounting side, I have experience with tax preparation and payroll. I'm also in the final stages of obtaining my CPA, so I feel qualified to do bookkeeping and other things of that nature.

My IT experience includes needs analysis/purchase consultation, desktop deployment, desktop management, network setup, support, repair, website/software development, and probably some other things I'm forgetting.

I really enjoy gaining a deep understanding of a business, and being able to make recommendations to improve process efficiency and effectiveness. Sometimes that means services I can provide, and sometimes it means recommending other solutions.

Just to clarify, I'm not trying to sell services here. I'm offering to help start-ups for little or no fee to build my experience.
