Bookkeepping frustrations

Hello everyone,

I have been in business (here in america) for about 6 years now, and am having a rough time finding bookkeepping software that is basic. The peachtree's and quickbook's programmes are way too complex and such a waste of time that I am calling for assistance from programmers or people that know where to get serverside bookkeepping software that is simple to use and yet will keep all the data required.

The idea being that a browser is used to access a site that holds the backend - but on the front end it should be basic, almost to even look like a set of "paper" books.

If you know of any such applications, or if you know you can write something along these lines, I could sure use your assistance
