Before the Start

Hi Everyone,

My name is David Kayo, I've been an entrepreneur since I can remember (Always thinking of the next big thing). As the years have past, I have learned many things and have made many mistakes along the way. I have also gained knowledge and connections from my real world experiences. College is good for the basics, but they don't teach you what is really needed when it comes down to boot strapping a start up.

I started my first company in 2003, supported by Angel Funding. My first venture opened my eye's to what is was all about and I knew I had found my place. I could talk for hours about all the right and wrong decisions that were made along the way. If your interested in chatting... send me a PM.

I have Founded / Co-Founded 5 plus start-up's that have all showed me something new and interesting. There are so many different levels to being a entrepreneur, it's only for the risk takers and not for the cannon fauder of the world.

Things I have accomplished:

Form Inc., Filing of Patents, Software Dev, Business Dev, Outsourcing, Project Management, Raising Capital, Boot-Strapping, Gorilla Marketing and everything in between.

I also wanted to mention that I have spelling issues. If anyone is truly interested in chatting, we can always chat via phone. I'm very interested in building business relationships with people like myself. I'm trying to give back, just as someone has given to me.

I look forward to hearing from everyone.

p.s. Move forward!

valets working

My recommendation, right off hand, is to go to a couple of places that have valets working (malls, up-scale restaurants), and hand them a business card (something generic would do). Let them know that you are wanting to interview them and ask some questions about what it is they do, the exciting aspects of the job, etc etc...

You can even write a blog about the process, and then simply utilize the information that you gathered to incorporate into your business plan.
