Artist/entrepreneur new here

Hi all,

I recently came across this forum and figured it would be a decent reference for me to keep tabs on while I grow my business. I am an artist with a new business (about 8 months old) called Munstre where I make handmade lightboxes that are very quickly growing in popularity. I'm also marketing myself as an individual artist in order to get into galleries (have 2 currently scheduled), and I plan to use the networking/feedback from the show to promote my business as Munstre, as well as of course further my career as an artist.

Can't wait to see what I will learn in these forums!

I was just wondering...what is a lightbox? I only know them in photography context

Thanks Nath! Lightboxes are just the name of the product, its a wooden box/frame that displays my artwork, inside is a light so it functions as a lamp and illuminates the art. It sort of borders between being just straight art and a functional piece of home decor.

one step ahead of you Nathaniel! I actually have my own domain with an orderable shop, as well as an online storefront shop on a popular handmade artists website, to date I've made a few hundred sales and as of this week I've finally made at least 1 sale to every state in the U.S.
