    Another young entrepreneur ......obviously

    Hello everyone.
I am 22 and im always thinking about starting and running my own business. I strive for success no matter the task and I know that I would be successful. I've recently created an idea that I truly feel like is a brilliant idea. Its someting that im already passionate about and the opportunity to turn it into a challenge for success sounds awesome to me.
A really breif description of my idea: I live in a small area with the entire county having a population of around 111,000 people. Lots of small businesses ranging from stores to restaurants. I have a passion for supporting local businesses and I feel like even though large corporations are important to the american economy , small businesses are not getting enough support to stay open. The balance between small and large businesses is off set and these small businesses need to get on before they miss the boat. Newspapers and radio are really the only form of advertising in my area and my young generation has the internet and satellite and internet radio plus Mp3 players. That means that small businesses are missing out on a huge group of consumers and a growing group of consumers. My idea is to help small local businesses and local consumers connect viathe most current way......the internet. I plan to provide a newsletter that has interesting content similar to a newspaper but without the bad news and focuses on small businesses. It will be an email newsletter and will have cool things like virtual coupons and reviews for businesses. Ill be using videos that allows business owners to talk about things that relate to they're business. Example-ill be having a local small business that is a premium Verizon retailer talk about current technology and promotions. I have many more ideas but you all are tech savvy and you an see where this is going.
    Thanks for your time

Good luck. Sounds like a good plan. Just need to start building that contact list.

    Cheers!

Thanks, right now im making a plan that outlines the costs and startup capital. Also I plan to take my plan to 3 business owners that I know personally : one in furniture sales, one in cellphone sales, and one in the restaurant business. Im going to see what they think and see if they themselves would be interested. After that if everthing is a go from them im going to offer them a volunteer spot that I will advertise for free so I can have businesses up on a running system that I can use to launch my promotions to consumers. That way the consumers will have a fully.interactive system to check out. Also when I go to start selling ad space the businesses can see something instead of hear it.
I re read what I said and it sounds funny but im having a sleepy morning...lol.
