Hi young entrepreneurs,

I am a virtual assistant. I am still new and I hope i can get ideas through this forum on how can i make my business generate real income. Mine is a service kind of business, providing secretarial and administrative assistant virtually. I wonder if the term virtual assistant is already known in the business world. I hope i can get strategies from all of you guys about this kind of business service. Thank you.

Hi Virtual Assistant,

I haven't heard of the virtual assistant world up until about 2 months ago. There is another forum, where there was a grip load of them. I think it's a great profession and idea. Work from home in your PJs.

Hi Lector,

Virtual Assistance is a new industry. I work on a per project basis. Every VA's has its own specialty of work, depending on the skills that you have. It could be maintaining website, blogging, real estate, the very simple data entry, document formatting, or any work that could be done through the net. We only work virtually, of course with the help of the internet and VOIP. With the VA, the company could save cost, because employers do not have to give us medical insurance or other benefits that a regular assistant gets. And you only pay us with the number of hours that we work. So if you only need my service for two hours, you only get to pay with the amount equal for two hours, that simple.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm glad i am in this forum. Well, in the United States a typical VA charge around $35 to $45 per hour, or depending on the kind of task or project that you want a VA to do for you. I charge only $10 to $15 per hour since i am here in the Philippines. That is the wonder of outsourcing, you really can save cost.
