23 Year Old CFO of Relatively Large Company

Hello guys!

Just a short bio:
23 Years old
CFO
Part Owner
Been here for 2.5 years

We, see name, manufacture underwater tracking systems, military reconnaissance cameras, animal/fish tags, and other 'stuff'.

I really enjoy the company and hope to offer and receive some future advice.

I take care of all the accounts payable and receivable as well as running and processing payroll. I look into what's in A/P vs A/R and figure out what systems we need to build and ship to keep the funds rolling. I negotiate payment terms with customers and vendors. I'd say that only equates to about 1/3 of my day.

The remaining 2/3 is spent doing customer support, sales, and marketing.

Well, I signed a 5 year charter to stay with the company for at least 5 years. In return, I picked up a percentage of the company. The company is ran and owned by five individuals, all of which signed similar 5 year charters/agreements.

Long story short, the company began back in the early 90s; through piss-poor financial management we accrued some long term debt. Therefore my goal in the next 1-2 years is to pay off all these old loans and other debts totaling about $150,000...sounds like fun, eh?

Welcome to YE. I sent you a pm regarding underwater logging using non-destructive equipment. The product needs to be adapted in order to be submerged and but it can be used for other underwater adventures as well.

When it's all said and done, yes most likely I can. Actually, if I leave in four years I anticipate someone buying my shares. With the money from that and the money I am saving, my plans are to open a B&B at some riding (motorcycle) destination...

But for now, it's back to the grindstone...
