17 Year old DriveYourWebsite Business Owner from Portsmouth

Hi,

My name is Craig Wilkinson. I live in Portsmouth, United Kingdom. I am a skilled website designer and have been designing websites for various different projects since the age of 11.

Since I was 16 I have taken my website designing skills to a more professional level having had a job with a website design company before being made redundant ( at 17?! ) due to the company being liquidated.

I have since started my own website hosting and design business with two friends of mine called DriveYourWebsite. The website can be found at driveyourwebsite.co.uk. Drive Your Website - Portsmouth's value website design and hosting company. I designed and made the whole website myself including all the text, images, code and flash content.

Please could you tell me what you think of our business and our website. Any comment is welcome

Are you still in school?

It's a plain website I have to say, doesn't look like anything really different and remarkable (purple cow - seth godin) and thats whats really needed with tons of these sites.

For marketing, I suggest you look up gary vanyerchuk in how to market these days (thankyou economy). His videos are really good aswell, look on youtube. Just read Delivering Happiness by Tony Heish, very good read all of these and you'll get really educated on how to make your company successful, because right now I don't see any life in the website, any personality.

I'm about to 18 aswell mate, but I've been running websites since I was 12-13, trust the things I tell you

I have currently finished my first year and I am on my summer break.

Thanks for your comment regarding my website, any comment is helpful. Tell me ways in which you think you would improve the website if it was yours? That would be entirely helpful.

I'll get my partner who is in charge of marketing and sales to have a read of the articles you have provided here and see how he can improve.

Like I said, I only went professional with website design last year so I'm still pretty much finding my feet in this industry.
