One of the best for me is: The One Minute Millionaire - Robert G. Allen
He makes a point of having a sense of "Urgency" which is an amazing catalyst to make things happen. It takes passion and focuses it like a laser. Great insight and effective.

I am listening to "The Secret" on audiobook, I have been told it's pretty much the same as Napolean Hills' work, which I plan to read later. What does everyone think of the Secret, I have to say it's interesting, although the audiobook has too many gong sounds and when it keeps jumping to quotes I tend to turn off as the person speaking also changes.

I have to go with Dale Carnegie How To Win Friends And Influence People when apply the practices in the book you will be amazed how well they work and just to let people know straightfocused.com is giving away a free book of choice as long as its business or personal development....

Thank you! I concur. How can someone else tell you things that you should know already about yourself? I tried reading the Mars and Venus thing, but quit after the first 2 chapters. It just kept repeating itself. But, hey, if some of these books really help someone, fine. I find them confusing and contradictory. Actually, the best self-help tip I got came from the Seinfeld tv series: "If everything you do is wrong, then the opposite must be right." Works for me!

The Art Of The Start - Guy Kawasaki

The book has pretty good principles to live by business wise, however seeing everyone talk about "Think and Grow Rich" is making me want to read that too .
