    What is your legacy?

I came across this statement in the most recent issue of Success magazine and it got me thinking...

"Our lives are influenced by those who came before us. As we honor their memories, we must remember that we, too, are paving the way for those who will follow in our footsteps. What will your legacy be?"

I've thought about it for a couple days now, and I've come to realize that I don't have a clear vision of my legacy yet. I'd love to hear from others who are in the same boat or those that have a better picture. What is your legacy and how did you come to determine it?

That's a great question! Your legacy is whatever you want it to be. Mine legacy are my babies. When I am far and gone I will want to have instilled in them that anything is possible if you have a vision and the persistence and commitment to fulfill it. I want them to know that mommy made a difference for others and that they can too; and I can do this by being a role model for them.

It's how you want others to remember you by.

Do you want to be seen as a contributor to society or to a particular cause? Do you want to be seen as someone who was fearless and lived every day to the fullest? What's important to YOU?

A legacy comes from the idea that everyone, regardless of their rank or position, can make a difference. Legacies encompass the past, present and future, and it forces us to consider where we have been, where we are now, and where we're going. A quest to leave a lasting legacy is a journey from success to significance.

There are two options for me:
    1. After working for some time as a self-employed attorney, I establish the biggest consultant company in the city.
    2. The world turns to chaos and anarchy after 2012 and I lead the good people through the hardship and into the new world
