Recognizing opportunities for profit in everyday life

    Hello everyone,

Can someone please recommend me a book which focuses on how to recognize opportunities for profit in everyday life? In other words; how to most effectively condition my mind to thinking like an entrepreneur when out and about? I know I have room for improvement on this, and I certainly don't want to miss out on big opportunities because my mind isn't in the "right mode."

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I think "Rich dad and poor dad" would be the best book for you.author has talked about how to create more assets than liabilities.they also explained how unknowingly we end up creating more and more liabilities for us all the while thinking that we are creating assets.Explained quite a few accounting terms in the easy manner to put their point across.
if you want to live a life of profits and rich person then this book is apt for you.

    Umm..yes..i can...
For a heavy read..Amazon.com: New Venture Creation: Entrepreneurship for the 21st Century (9780073381558): Jeffry Timmons, Stephen… (the educational standard)
Fo something quicker Amazon.com: Close Any Deal: A. David Silver's 6-Step Formula for Success… (probably the best book of all time on how to do sales)

But...I'd suggest you watch startup videos instead..easier to process...plus they are free
here's a good collection from stanford Stanford's Entrepreneurship Corner:Popular Videos
here's another collection from harvard Entrepreneurs

these videos are the highest quality, general level advice on entrepreneurship that you can get on the planet. perioud. no need to look elsewhere.

    Hi Erik,
There are honestly many books that can support you in developing an entrepreneurial mindset. A classic book for focusing on how to recognize opportunities to build wealth is 'Think and Grow Rich' by Napolean Hill. Every self made millionaire I have ever spoken with has read this book. Another book that changed my relationship with money is 'Secrets of the Millionaire Mind' by T. Harv Eker. Have you read either of these yet?

I believe that the universe made people to be prosperous, not poor. Prosperous people see business opportunities everywhere. For instance when I meet a person regardless who they are I don't see them as just a person I see them as a business opportunity. Where both people benefit.

we;; you should be cautious with this habit otherwise your friends and acquittance will start running away from you. I have a friend who is into insurance and these days she has stopped looking at me as a friend but as a potential customer. And i have to silently bear her umpteen sales talk.

Good To Great is a must read, in my mind, for entrepreneurs and business owners. Not so much about recognizing opportunities in everyday life, but more so about how to make a business that is truly great.

"Think and Grow Rich" is a must, and Harv Ekers "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" is also very powerful and has changed a lot of life. "Acres of Diamonds" is a classic that can help get your mind in the right mode to achieve wealth and success.

Think and Grow Rich. If you follow the steps in this book and reflect on your chief aim at the beginning and end of each day, you will become so focused on accomplishing your chief aim that you will naturally begin looking around you for opportunities in everyday life.

"Think & Grow Rich" shares about characters of successful people. What do one need to possess to be successful?
"Rich Dad Poor Dad" shift our mindset about the value of money.
"Good to Great" is a must read book that shows study of great companies. It's a study of why these companies are great.
"One Minute Millionaire" is a good read of showing possibilities that normal folks can also make it big.
