5 Credos to Succeed in Life

Hi fellow entrepreneurs. Just want to share 5 principles to get us to the end zone:

    1. Yesterday’s Dreams are Today’s Realities

Or, what you dream about today will be your reality tomorrow – if you don’t have a dream how can it come true!

    2. Seeing Dreams Ahead

It’s important to see yourself as you want to be – where you want to be – see yourself at the "goal line" – most people get stuck on the "rocky road’ – Focus on the Goal not the Road to get there, because the "road to success" is always under construction.

    3. Simulation: Practice Within When You’re Without

People regularly practice playing a sport like golf or basketball – but few people think about "practicing being successful" You should "practice" success before you reach your goal.

    4. Act as if There are NO Limits to Your Abilities

Act as if you are invincible – to act as if they could accomplish anything! Once one "acts" this way – they actually internalize the concept and start believing it themselves – I know one can accomplish much more than they usually ask of themselves; I always ask for more!

    5. Enthusiasm: Greek God Within

Enthusiasm is from the Greek – meaning "God Within" – there is not one high performance person alive (or dead) who is not over enthusiastic about their business, their life – enthusiasm is contagious!

Nice list forbes! I especially like #3 - practice within when you are without. It's not about pretending but rather creating a mindset and creating the feelings generated when you see yourself as already being successful.

Success perpetuates success, so it only makes sense to focus on it and not the other dis-empowering thoughts.

Plus, I'm sure there are plenty of things out there that we've been successful at that we can draw from ;-)

Very true, great post. Successful people almost always portray these credos, and you can get further by aiming to associate with people who are also success driven and ambitious because these things are CONTAGIOUS!

Great list. I would definitely add consistency to it. I have noticed that being consistent usually wins out over just ability.

    Think and Grow Rich

What a great post! Very inspiring indeed to remember these rules of success in life. Success is all about first envisioning who and where you want to be in life one day/year(s) from now. One book in particular that I can't ever get enough of is Think and Grow Rich. I'm sure most of us on this forum is familiar with this literature, but if not then I highly recommend it. You could open to any page and get a daily dose of wisdom at the very least. (I recommend reading it from cover to cover to get the most out of it).
