LOL, FB gets 5x more traffic than Google.com. Google currently gets 10 million more (according to compete.com) but the gap is closing. In Feb, when you posted this it was 30 million more. FYI, the cost difference between Google and FB is because FB conversions are still very low. As the conversions get better FB will come to par with Google. Generally, a website host will give you FB advertising credit, it would be ashame to not use them.

FaceBook definitely seems to be the best alternative to Google's AdWords. At least that's what iv found.

I think Techieluke is right.. if your looking to display ads and get paid for 'clickthroughs' then maybe try and set up a new google account adsense is probably still the way forwards but if you are looking for paid advertising i.e. pushing traffic to your own site etc then Facebook is my prefferred method, its insanely effective and incredibly targeted as you can advertise using the demographics of fb users... i bet you didnt think about that when you wrote all your hobbies and favourite films all over your fb page a few years back..!

There are multiple other addvertismnet offer which work in many other patter such as textlink,banner advertisments, keywords adds, video adds. But i too would recommend to go with the google adsence as its one of the most appropriate advertisment network.

You might want an alternative to Google Ads, which would likely be Microsoft Ad Network. However, if you got banned from Adsense you will likely get banned from Microsoft's network as well. I recommend just adapting and complying.

google adwords is a good way to lose money fast. You have to know what you are doing and test alot.

I use bing, MSN and yahoo, you never see people getting slapped by these guys. They are great in my opinion.
