Facebook ads are incredibly powerful and can be highly targeted, there are a lot of people getting it wrong and theres a lot of tips to getting the best results. I personally do very well out of it - a good friend of mine made around $1/2m as direct result from facebook ads last year. Far more cost effective than google too!

fb is great because they hav the worst ctr.

basically you will have more impressions for every click and will spend less money for more exposure. but then again what's the point of all the exposure if its no doing anything for you.

I would probably try Google Adwords before I tried Facebook Ads. Learn about keywords, writing enticing ads and about conversion rates and online ad expenses. I even think you can get $75 in AdWords for free if you open an account. Once you learn teh ins and outs of an online marketing campaign then you can do small test runs on lots of other networks like Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Yelp etc. etc.

What kind of business is it? This will make a huge difference of how you will want to advertise as well.
