Would this be a viable service?

    Hello all,

I was browsing through this forum along with a few others and wondering to myself what part of the online graphic design market I could get into. I love graphic design and love using photoshop so I'm quite familiar with the program and have a few years experience in using it. I have thought about logo design and whilst that does seem great, I'd like to get the hang of doing vectors and get a bit more professional at them before I offer them as a paid service.
Then I thought about photo editing. After I raised this on another forum it was said that if I focused more along the product marketing and banner side of photo editing then it may be something that a lot of people are interested in. I was just thinking of offering services suchas removing the background off images so their photos look better, adding certain effects, editing them so that they incorporate some promotional text etc. These could then be used on ebay, ecommerce websites and so many more different places. All I would need is the initial photo and it's a very flexible service.
I'm currently 16 and at school full time so I would be looking at just doing it small scale to begin with but in a few weeks when summer starts I could take on projects if an ecommerce site wanted white backgrounds on all of their products or something similar.
I don't know if this sounds like a viable option or not but I thought that someone on here is bound to have some thoughts on this since the entrepreneurial community on here is second to none.

Any help or advice would be great on this matter.
    Thank you,
    Sam

I think my primary customers would probably be advertising agencies, people running small online business' suchas ecommerce or ebay stores where lots of pictures are being used. Then again I don't see why it shouldn't benefit web designers and photographers also. Just saves them a lot of time and effort.

@dslackman, thankyou very much, they are definitely things I'm going to need to consider and plan for. It's given me something else to think about anyway

@RelyOption Tech, again thankyou. I think I will need to do a lot more planning and research before I get this started but it's something which seems to be possible and a viable business option. Oh and thankyou... I am however a girl

    Comments much appreciated,
    Sam
