    Invention investment scheme

Following on from a post on the intro pages....

Hi guys, I know the feeling. I have many inventions and am in a job I no longer enjoy. It is time to make it happen...Here is the plan...I have had an idea for a while which seems to overcome problems of the majority of private inventors. There are people with ideas and no money and people with money and no ideas. There are people with a little money but not enough to take an invention to manufacture alone. My idea is to create a community where inventors help one another to get an invention made. Each inventor will submit their idea (confidentially under NDA agreement). Other inventors or investors vote on which invention is most likely to be a success. The group then agree a share of investment to put in for a share of any money made from the invention. It may mean that 10 inventors invest $1000 each to get a prototype made and then licence to a manufacture for royalties (or sell the idea outright). Each inventor becomes a shareholder in the agreed idea. If successful then the system carries on to help produce the next idea....would this work? There must be investors willing to risk a little for a potential big return???

    Cheers, Inventoy.

no, things don't work this way
    no one invests in "ideas"
    people invest in "opportunities"
the quality of an opportunity is defined by the quality of the team pursuing it
this is why no one one likes lone wolf inventors and strangers don't invest in strangers

I agree and disagree. I know of inventors who have approached manufacturers with a sketch on paper and have made a lot of money from it. In general though if you have a physical prototype or product that the companies can see or hold then your chances are greatly improved. I am a strong believer that company directors etc have no vision or creativity. I guess thats why they are where they are and not in research and development.

Its catch 22 really. There are millions of people with ideas or inventions but no way to get to that next stage. It would be great if there were companies willing to risk a bit, however if I were in their shoes holding the money would I be willing to risk it on someone elses idea? I will keep working on it. Most of my success so far has been in toy inventions so I can't comment on other fields of invention. (Sydney cool place by the way - been 7 times and addicted to the place, New Years a must!)

    Cheers,

    Inventoy

I'm interested in helping you to Market your invention. Do you have a portfolio of patented products and pictures that I could see?

    Hi Risky,

I have pictures but no patents. The majority of my inventions are toys and patents are not they way to go in the toy industry. It is all too easy to make a slight change (so called improvement) and the patent is then renewed by another company and a different product. I am looking for investment in prototypes. All the toy companies want a prototype they can hold and play with. Thats where I fall down. I have the over 300+ toy inventions mainly 3d rendered but not enough investment to get them to prototype stage for company presentation purposes.

    Cheers Inventoy

My name is Pranab Jyoti Ghosh, I am an Indian physics graduate and myself have theoretically developed a technology on producing energy without any kind of fuel. This technology is a combination of processes that are well tested and now in use in different industries and research projects. I am assuring you that this project is just need to be made and improved. All the basic experiments had been already done successfully and enough data had been gathered. In short, it is a new and exciting kind of technology and as far as I know, nothing like this exists this day. Can you help me to make my idea a reality? You can contact me at pranabjyoti_calcutta at rediffmail dot com.

If you need assistance with prototypes, I recently started a prototype company and may be able to help. Send me a private message, it would be my pleasure to help out.
