How to approach patient owner? Want to bring idea to my country

Hey I do not want to say to much on the specific idea, but I had a brainwave last week on a household appliance that every house should have, but does not already. I done a quick search online to find that my idea is already available in the UK, but to the best of my knowledge it is not already in Ireland, the USA and other big countries.

My question is I want to know how to approach the current patient owners, with a plan to bring the product to Ireland. I understand that since the product is already produced and available to be sold i want to know.

How you go organizing discounts on large quantities. (in the future, as the 1st order will be considerably small as i need to generate leads 1st, door to door possibly, but im positive word of mouth will spread like wold fire and grow my business)

How to organize possible the rights of the product to an area for a set period of time. i.e. how could I become the sole distributor of the product for Ireland for 3 years?

Should i try organize all these details over the phone, or arrange a meeting at their head office in the UK

You are making this way to difficult... You need to buy the product from them and then resell it. If you can only buy 10 items then buy the 10 and resell them. Can you make any money doing that... probably not... but if you think there is a market for this product then you should sell the 10 easily. I will say this though... if you don't have the money to place a large order (which is what is needed to get the product cheap enough to make a margin) then they will not want to do business with you to begin with.

Your simply a reseller of the product... very simple... no need to even worry about the patent.

A reseller does so with the permission of the producer therefore there is no need to worry about the patent.

Good info... but how does that apply to the patent for the item which is the posters question. There is no need to worry about the patent as it is not relevant in a conversation about resale rights.
