Great new invention needs a salesman

I have invented and manufactured a great new product called the True Clean Towel. I would try to describe it here but it's better if you see the pictures on the website or attached to this post. It is a really fun product that has been on sale since September. Since its inception it has received excellent feedback from our customers and been a great experience taking a product to market. The sales for the Christmas season were really strong for a brand new product.

I have focused primarily on internet sales to date but am not looking to start wholesaling it to a wider audience. And this is where I could really use some advice. I need to find buyers in both novelty stores and home good stores. Does anyone have experience in this. And suggestions.

I would welcome and appreciate any suggestions....

    Hi,

I have a few questions just to get a better idea of situation:
    - Where are you located?
    - Are there similar towels from other companies?
    - Do you have packaging for the towels or tags with your company name and price, etc...?
    - What does the printed area feel like? Is it as absorbent or does it feel like ink?

Best of luck and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi John

We are located in New York City. The only thing similar is call the butt/face towel and it is crude and low quality. Our towels come in a polybag, have a sewn on tag with logo and machine washing information, and we have hangtags with product information and a barcode.

The towel is over sized, heavyweight and spa quality. The design is woven into the towel, not printed, so it feels like a towel you would buy from Bed Bath and Beyond, soft and comfortable. It is truly a great towel...

Thanks for the quick response, that's great that the design is woven in rather than screen printed and it sounds like you really have it all together. Do you have the margins to wholesale towels and still make money? Most retailers will want to get the towels for ~50% of the retail price. Are you looking for someone to pitch the towel to retail stores?

Perhaps you can find a wholesale distributor that can sell it for you. I would think marketing it would be the bigger question. How are you marketing it?

Yes we definitely have plenty of room for profit. MSRP is $22 and wholesale is around $11-$12. The thing is, I don't have the time to really sell this thing as hard as it needs to be sold. I run a graphic design business and it takes up a lot of my time.

And as far as marketing, I have no budget for advertising. We did some videos and things like that, but I need some big orders to make this thing more viable.

Why is it special once again? If somebody is paranoid about top bottom thing they can buy any towel that has asimetrical paint job (so they will remember which part is for top and which for bottom). So basicly they buy it just for fun paint job?
