Calling all inventors! I'm in need of guidance

The last few weeks have been rough. I've again come up with a brilliant idea (product/invention), but like always, I ultimately hit a brick wall. First, the idea comes to me, then I spend a few days obsessing over it; I begin to do research, design, and scale model, and I never get any further than that! So instead of bagging another idea, I'm reaching out to fellow inventors who have a sense of knowledge and passion for their work. I need some guidance! I've done a lot of research on how to get started, but there isn't ever a very straight forward answer! Please, if anyone could offer me a step by step process on how to get my product off the paper and into reality, I would be so greatful! Thanks!

Maybe a guide on what it is you're needing or what product category you fall into would help (obviusly without giving away what the product is.) Do you need financial help, engineering, intellectual property advice, etc.

Also, at what stage are you getting stuck? Do you already have a functional prototype? Are you looking for a way to evaluate the product's market potential?
