I own ZidoZone.com which is also a classifieds ads website like craigslist. My website is also 10000X better, safer, and more professional

I have now been open for 3 months and in a year or two plan to join the major classifieds players out there.

Creating such a website is not very difficult but rather time consuming. You also need a pretty nice budget.

I see your vision: 8 colleges(just in your area alone x(times) the amount of advertisers you get behind your site x(times) how well equipped your tech department will be with handling and monitoring the servers etc.,for your site and you're looking a Craigslists competition. Remember what you are describing is exactly how Mark Zuckerberg viewed Facebook except you seem to have a vision for the somewhat cash strapped underclassmen which is definitely a marketable niche industry,especially right now when tuition rates are climbing students would like to scale back on their expenses monthly,quarterly,annually. So yea, it's definitely doable. Pursue it.

getting him up and running is no problem and I can have it done within a month or two, problem is I don't work for free but like I stated before I would gladly be willing to engage in a discussion and see where this goes. Thinking about this project is rather exciting because I had a similar vision a few months back but this completely makes sense.

Forget Boston alone. I am able to make it available for you so you can list Every College in every state with their own categories. This business plan in my eyes has merit.

I am currently in the process of building a website like this for my college. I've basically drawn up the website but am just looking for a programmer. We are entering a business plan competition and hopefully will win $20,000 to start up our business. All we need is someone that can build this site for us the way we want it. How much do you think the average cost will be. I want it to look better than craigslist. It won't look like your typical craigslist design but will have more of a feel of ebay, amazon, and facebook combined. Let me know.
