I think the first step is to target a keyword. You do this by using a tool like google keywords and trying out a few combinations. Ideally, you are looking for a phrase that has a large number of searches and a low volume of websites that offer the service (high demand, low supply). Then you use optimize your website to target that keyword and get a few quality backlinks.

For example: the phrase "trading robot" has 27100 monthly searches and if you type "trading robot" in google you get 1000000 sites. I would say that is quite a bit of competition. Try find a phrase that gets a few thousand searches and maybe 50000 competing sites. Then with a bit of seo and backlinking you can try get to the front page of google. But it does take time and dedication.
