Feedback Needed: Would you like classic British meals delivered to your door?

Hi, I’m Louise and I’m currently conducting research for my start-up company idea, ‘Aunty Anns’.

The business is very simple- a delicious home cooked meal delivery service to compete with local kebab/ pizza shops etc. The expected popular meal is the Aunty Ann’s famous roast and other meals on the menu are shepherd’s pie and mince and dumplings etc. My target audience is predominantly students, with the view that the delivery service will bring ‘Mum’s cooking’ direct to their doors when they need it most. Also, the cost is competitive with other fast-food market leaders, with the price of the roast being £5.

I would be very grateful for responses on my idea as these will be used in vital market research before going ahead. So… what do you think?

If you're targeting students, maybe you should think about adding a technical aspect to it-- online ordering, an app to order, etc. Sounds like a good idea though. Go for it!

This market is heating up, especially in the US, and just as there is a market for fast food delivery, there is also a market for 'gourmet' food delivery - check out your competitors and see if you can squeeze into a niche in the UK. BTW, are you making the meals yourself or working as an ecommerce layer between customers and restaurants? (that's a more profitable market). Good luck!
