Before buying anything, you should know about the business potential of what you are purchasing and try to find out ROI for that business. Try to do indepth research about the business before making any decision.

    Thanks Mega B, and Roger.

I started learning a little about HTML a couple days ago. So i will try as soon as possible to open up a blog, and see what i can do from there. One last question, in a blog, can i make money from advertisment? Also, what is adsense? I see it alot on the google.

two things you need to really earn from google adsense or online advertisement

    1. Traffic - how many people visits your website per day
    2. Content - For how much time people stay on your website

I cannot stress this enough. Verify traffic and income over as many months back as possible. If the seller doesn't/can't show you this info, don't buy!

You need to know that area of business, and as always have a business plan for it. Fail to plan > Plan to fail

Also try and get as much knowledge about the seller as possible, either from the flippa or ebay account feedback.

Business planning is an important and challenging task, especially, when it comes to making assessments that are complete and take into consideration all the factors that are going to affect you.

Or be the stealthy one.... Research the site through websites like www.domaintools.com to see where they're ranked, how many times its been owned. How much traffic they get, etc.

Income doesn't matter - you can grow a previous website from what you bought - you need to be a good marketer to do that.

The main things I consider when buying websites is:

    1. Monthly traffic
    2. How the site is currently generating money.
    3. Additional ways you could make money if you buy the site.
    4. Level of competition from similar websites (you may need to spend money on advertising to maintain your traffic levels).
    5. How much work the site will require to maintain.
