I usually schedule a doctor appointment to get a new prescription and then I take my prescription down to an optical store to pick up new frames or contact lenses. Can I just head straight to an optical store next time I need new prescriptions and then pick up an new pair of eye glasses or contact lenses right there? Is that possible? Or only hospitals can give prescriptions
