Networking Investors, and increase buying power

    Hello,

Due to such an overwhelming positive response to this I thought I would post it.

I am currently putting together a company to network investors to increase buying power.

If you have 500 or more money to invest, please let me know.

I get daily e-mails of people looking for money to invest in his/her company. Anywhere from 4,000.00 and up. Some are good ideas, and some are terrible. I personally have started a few joint venture/Angel investor partnerships from people with ideas on this sight.

We would put our money together to purchase companies, lend start-up money, joint venture, or be angel investors.

If you have money to invest, and are interested in this, please reply.

If you have questions, please post on this thread, instead of a PM so everyone can read them.

    Thanks,
    Kirk

Hey Kirk, I've read quite a few of your posts on here. You seem like a good guy, plus you're Canadian which is even better

Anyways, I'm interested in your proposition. What did you have in mind?

    Hello Victor and Spliff,

My idea is simply to put our funds together to land larger deals. Deals meaning purchasing companies, or being investors in start-ups, growth, etc...

I would find companies that are for sale or looking for investors. I would prefer to purchase companies that are already turning a profit, and can show steady growth.

I would like to return anywhere from 20% - 40% annually on our investments.

It would not matter how much you had to invest, as you would be getting a % of your investment.

I would start a corporation (it's quite simple, I currently have two). This corporation would receive your investment. It would also be the owner of the companies we purchase.

    I am not sure yet how we would run the share structure, but my lawyer would figure out how that is configured;
1.I think we would have a price per share, and relate that to a % of business. And a 40% return is paid to all shareholders. So, you put in $4,000.00, you will receive $133 a month, $40,000, you would receive $1,333.00 per month, etc.... Or

    2. Everyone has his/her stake in the company, and his/her % grows with the company. We sell shares at $1 a piece. The shares grow with the growth of the company. We would pay dividends to the investors throughout the year. (hint, THIS is far better for you as an investor)

For Example: I am looking at an acquisition right now, where the returns are currently at 69% of the asking price of the company. That is based on 2010 sales, and does not include the 1000% growth January has already seen over last year. I would give our investment company a 49% profit share and all continued growth.

I am always open to suggestions and questions.

    Thanks,
    Kirk

I am definitely interested in this. Although just curious, are you looking for partners as well, or do you plan on making all the business decisions yourself?

Besides the fact that this would help a lot of start-ups out there, this type of business (investing) would surely reflect a good ROI. It may be true that there are a lot of terrible ideas/proposals out there (we've all come across a few of them) but having bumped into these "ideas" others may have actually sprouted their own idea out of them. A little trimming here and there, and voila, a start-up business worth investing.

I'll be sure to keep a look out for this thread, Kirk.

    Cheers!
