What's your budget... experience... plans... goals... skills... blah blah blah... what kind of site do you want? Do you want to make money selling goods or by generating advertising dollars? Do you have a server and a hosting package? How big of a site can you handle? You need to answer all of these questions before you go out looking to buy a site.

I would recommend you start a WordPress Blog as a way of learning how all this works. To have a profitable site you have to put a ton of work into it. Don't go spending money until you understand the basics.

Flippa can do the job but yes you have to be careful, ask a lot of questions and make sure the into matches that they give. Also do your research on incoming links, is the site blacklisted, the list goes on. You just have to do the homework.

What subject are you most passionate about?

What niche do you want to reach?

Who do you want to write your articles to?

Does this passion subject keep you going?

Is this passion something that you've had since your kid or teenage years or the first time you became an adult? The longer the passion subject, the better.

Passionate about? Just hire cheap Indian SEO writers to write junk, post the info on a Wordpress site and stick up Adsense ads.

If you're looking for easy, entry-level experience that's the least riskiest way to go.

I second bizbuysell.com. You can also check the buy/sell section of major web designer forums.
