Women in business making huge strides

Did you know that women make about half the workforce but only 3% of Fortune 500 CEOs, 15% of board of directors, and 13% of executive officers. It’s also true that women are making great strides and graduating with about half of the advance professional degrees, and that the “middle management” workforce is brimming with women

I think there a few reasons for this.

To be honest, women are women. Many of them aren't as career oriented as others. I believe this is true because a ton of women tend to get by on their looks alone and aren't really worried if they'll have to provide for a family. Most know that they'll be able to snag some random guy to live off of if worst comes to worst. I'm not saying this is true for all women, I'm just saying, a lot of women get by doing this.

Also, a lot of women tend to be happy working a 9 to 5. My mom, for instance, would never be happy in a management position. She likes going to work, getting done whatever she needs to get done, and goes home. Myself, on the other hand, am constantly working to improve myself to get up to the next level.. to be more successful. I think men have a natural desire to be the best at what they do.

Hopefully it doesn't seem like I'm stereotyping women, but this is just how it is. Personally, I love when women are smart/educated and are career oriented. It shows me that they want to make something of their life.

I rambled on for a bit there, but I think you get my point.
