Question How to turn Brownies in to Business ?

My friend bakes very tasty brownies, never tasted such brownies from a bakery. I have asked her to start her own business. Kindly suggest that how should she turn that idea into business. How can I convince her to start her own venture ??

I don't know if you can really convince anyone to start a business, but I do have a marketing angle I would use if I were to start such a venture.. I would market it with a charitiable twist with each brownie purchased a portion of the profits would go to a well known, and well liked charity. I would also send out a lot of press releases announcing that, and maybee even contact the charity that she chooses and tell them about her venture and have them send out press releases as well... Now if her brownies are good as her competitors consumers would love to purchase her brownies over her competitors because it goes to support a great cause.

Truly love your idea but how would she know that people will like her baked brownies. Should she place her product in school or college canteens free of cost for promotion, first.

She should be like a dope dealer LOL give out samples and get them hooked.. Now that would only work if they were good brownies... There would be something special about a good tasting charity brownie.. Now then again people but things all the time without knowing if they like the taste.. If someone come up to me and asked me if I wanted a brownie out of the blue I would most likely say no, but if someone came up to me and ask me if I would like to purchase a brownie because a portion of the proceeds goes to help a great charity I would buy alot of them, and so wouldother people.. That simple giving back approach gives her a great advantage to overcome selling a simple brownie to almost anyone.

Does it not seem little selfish when we are going to sale our product by using the name of charity ???

You might want to see if your friend wants to start a venture before you start doing the research for you. Entrepreneurship isn't for everyone. I think just encouraging her to realize that her brownies are amazing will push her into at least considering starting her own shop or bakery.

    Two words: College Campus.

At UCSC in santa cruz, there are a few students who run a late night cookie delivery service. I'm not sure how they got so established around campus, but on every flyer/posterboard, there is a flyer with tabs for the phone number, my ex boyfriend used to get a 10 pack of cookies delivered at least once a week. The people running it had it spread around that all orders had to be ordered between like 6-9 then they were delivered between 9-11 or somethingl ike that.

    Good luck!
