    Exclamation Young Entrepreneurs?

Having been a successful entrepreneur for over 20 years, I joined this forum to share my knowledge and experience with young, serious entrepreneurs just starting out. I simply wanted to lend an experienced helping-hand, and point ambitious members in the right direction. For the most part, I have been greatly disappointed. Instead of forward-thinking entrepreneurs who dream and think big, I've encountered mostly small-minded children without an iota of focus, discipline, vision or ambition - children who'd rather play all day in the forum than make money - children who stoop to juvenile name-calling when someone dares challenge them to be the best they can be - fake entrepreneurs who are willing to bicker and fight over a lousy $3 per month.

I can no longer be a part of this chatroom masquerading as an entrepreneurial forum. The fact of the matter is, there are very few serious entrepreneurs here. I've made a few friends here who are indeed serious entrepreneurs. You know who you are, and to you I wish nothing but the best!

So, you're leaving the forum because a certain group of members disagree with your thoughts for once? With all due respect sir, I think you're a bit too full of yourself. That's just my two cents though.

This community has gotten really big since it first started. The larger the community the more noise and bad apples you'll have. But I don't think you'll be leaving anytime soon - you get too much exposure here and I think you know this.

And people buy/sell forum signatures all the time. Look at Digitalpoint Forums.

If you want to be rich, sell products and services.
If you want to be insanely rich, create and control markets.

So, you're going to leave because a few people piss you off because they don't worship your sage wisdom? Jay's right you are full of yourself. But, if you do leave, Dale, then I wish you continued success.

    Follow the chain:

User CP>> Miscellaneous >> Buddy/Ignore Lists >> Add New User to List

    Really not that hard...

Honestly though, it's an internet forum, not a Chamber of Commerce luncheon. The signal to noise ratio is always bad online, and you're not going to find much better, unless you go to seriously professional sites that require paid memberships.
It's a matter of sorting wheat from chaff, and the above method is one fantastic way of doing it.

In my experience, petty name calling happens when people give generic information that has no specifics, or it's all pie in the sky dreaming. Everytime I log in here, I see someone post some starry eyed optimistic fluff.
It's clear to me that some people really haven't thought it all the way through, or if they have, they're not telling all... just enough to get kudos for it and feel warm and fuzzy.
I stopped posting at DigitalPoint because of that crap, and whilst it's not that much better here some days, other days there is gold in them hills...

While my initial thought was to simply say, "Good luck," I will reserve such comment until I see that your actions really speak as loud as your words. I anticipate that you'll continue to post here, further ruining your credibility as a man of his word. Only time will tell.

    Sucks that you will leave.

I think that what you have said is very true.

The forums need to be moderated a little more strictly.

There is also a lot of people who _want_ to start a business, but will probably never do so.

I think alot of people need to be more realistic and what you have said is true, 3 bux a month, who the hell cares? If you are willing to do something for that little its not worth it.

Sounds like your time is up at this Young Entrepreneur forum.

I am interested in what you believe the majority of the users on this forum are if they're not entrepreneurs?

All the best with your future endeavors. I do enjoy some of your articles and will continue to check you website on occasion.

I know right! Or at least a link to your website. I don't see how you can get any customers with "contact me for more information".
