Young Entrepreneur - Your Age & Business
Since this is a site / forum for young business people, I was happy to join and am enjoying the topics.
However, I was just curious as to how old all of you really are...
You would figure in most cases, a valid / official business person would be atleast 18, in the USA.
Ofcourse there are exceptions with some brilliant very young business minded people using other sources to run there business.
So my assumption was the age bracket would be 18 - 30.
So what exactly do you do, your title, and your age?
I am co-owner of a holding company - Caine.
I am 25 years old.
So how about you?

I just turned 21 last week, and i currently own a international tradings company doing trades between China, Taiwan, Thailand, and west coast of US and starting out in Canada soon. Dealing with gift items and general merchandise.
We are also trying to sell some of the stuff we import as retail and wholsesale products on the internet and to retail venders as we do have alot of extra pallets that gets left over from our buyers.
You can check on one of our projects at http://www.shinestream.com which deals with some of the things we are trying to distribute right now.

I am 24. Have a degree in Electrical Engineering and have worked in various engineering positions, also pursuing my MBA at the moment. I have run several successful businesses in the past; the largest being a regional advertising and promotions company, Mad Entertainment, LLC. Currently I am involved in a new startup, Modzy Inc., which will be offering a first of it's kind product in a multi-billion dollar industry (officially opening in 3 weeks).

Hi, I'm new here
I'm 15. I am a Director of B&S Associates, and I also have a 50% stake in the company. It is a Ltd company incorporated in the UK. Underneath the company there are currently a few other businesses. Most are internet-based.
I've owned over 10 different businesses so far, but this is my first 'real' company (as in registered and incorporated).
Right now doing my exams here in the UK - my last year in compulsory education. I will probably stay on at college and hope to go to university. But I'm a little torn as I want to be able to put all my time in the company - if I do go to uni I am going to have to wait at least 5 more years before I can do that !!!!

I'm off to uni in September and I must say that it will be my first opportunity to get serious about some of my business ideas; advanced level study can take up a lot of time (if you are lazy about things you are uninterested in like I am ).
How about telling us a little more about your company Bio, sounds intreguing.
i am 18 by the way and, as you may have gathered from above, I am not involved with any business ideas at the moment.

Ok, here goes:
- There is currently one other person involved. He is 16 years old and like me has a 50% stake in the company, and is a Director.
- We only set up the company recently, a few months ago in fact.
- There are currently three businesses under the company:
B&S Design
B&S Hosting
www.biospherical.net
At the moment we are mainly internet-based - both me and my business partner are doing our exams in the summer and so do not yet have the time nor money to get offices or the equipment needed to run an 'offline' business.
- Since its formation the company has made $xxxx income (I will not give exact figures!).
Personally, I've been involved in running internet-businesses since I was about 13. I have also been contact with overseas suppliers of electronic goods with a view to set up an electronics retail business but have had to put those ideas on hold for now. I don't currently have the time to deal with suppliers or large numbers of customers. I already have to deal with about 50 customers for B&S Hosting.
And that's about it!! I could go into much more detail about specific businesses etc. but that may seem a bit egoistic - perhaps what I've said so far already does!
