Hi, my name's Sophie and I am almost 15. I don't actually have a company yet, but I am looking into setting one up, or I may just become a sole trader. Either way, I will be making and selling software. I have been making software for a while, so this seemed like a good option. I have wanted to be in business since I was about six, I used to dream about having an office in the heart of London and New York, a huge sky scraper that I could see the whole city from!

I really need to discuss this with my parents though, they aren't really sure what I am doing. I have lots of other ideas, and will probably start one of them after the software company has been in business for a while. I think that the software company could also be kept as a little hobby if another idea makes it big. Or, if it gets very successful, I might sell it or make the software open source. So anyway, enough with the biography, I got planning to do! I am interested in looking at the other ages around here, very interesting to see the range as well.

Bye,
Sophie

I code HTML, CSS, PHP & MySQL... these are the only ones that I feel I need to know. But surely, coding C++, C# and Python is great seeing how these are the codes used to make programs (along with VBScript, etc.) Either way, Sophie, hit me up sometime, I possibly could use your services in the future.

I just turned 20 years old!

We 4 companies, two are brand new:

Website holding company which purchases websites and generates revenue from online sources.

Started a finance company, we get 0% apr credit cards and loan out the money for 20-29% interest. (not alot of money right now, testing the waters to see how to make money out of thin air, leveraging the banks money).

Real Estate Holding company, currently own and manage one piece of incoming producing real estate property.

And an Online Real Estate Rental buisness which we help property managers fill vacancies at different college campus', we currently have 3 individual franchises that use our intellectual property.

- I'm a programmer, sales person, becoming a part-time real estate broker, and public speaker.

Well, some interesting profiles and some young entrepreneurs out there. I'm 27 years old and currently work as a production leader for a global hygiene products manufacturing company. I am based in the UK, thoroughly enjoy my career but I am always seeking entrepreneurship and would risk everything If I came up with the right idea.

I have just recently launched www.sportspoll.co.uk and I am looking into the development of a website for www.thebettingpoint.com and we are in the process of redeveloping and relaunching www.clickevent.co.uk a UK events directory.

One day I'll be posting a thread on here stating I am a successful entrepreneur (fingers crossed)

Bye for now

Mark

I'm 24. Just finished my Bachelors in business finance last year and my enlistment in the Army which I joined when 17 after dropping out of HS. The best decision I ever made.

I am currently building up a private holding company, starting with real estate and then I'm going to finance my own start up ideas as well as purchase faultering small businesses for either resale after fixing their problems or to hold and grow regionally and nationally. Through a lot of my B2B sales jobs I realized just how little most franchise and small business owners acctually know about running a business and that most of their proprietary information and equipment can be purchased for pennies on the dollar once they start to run the place into the ground.

I'm not sure whether or not I have done this one or not. I'm 18 years old, and I am currently working on actually producing a business magazine for teens/young adults, and starting a food delivery service in my area. Many more things to come after this.

I'm 16 and I run an online paintball store. I also run a custom t-shirt business, but I do not do this as often now because running my online store takes up most of my time and all the custom t-shirt work I did was in house.

If you loan out money, don't you pay the cash advance interest, which is usually in the 20%+ range? If that your angel, why not just do something like prosper.com. it's risky, but a just seems like it would be a little less risky then what your doing right now.

Posting a bit late, but here goes:

I am 21. I am currently employed full time as a Quality Assurance Tech at a auto-parts manufacturing company.
I just put in my 2 weeks notice, and am moving back to Florida to work at an international staffing/recruiting agency. This will allow me to travel quite extensively, and allows me the possibility of advancing throught the ageny to the position of Manager and/or President.

I have owned/started a number of ventures, including a publishing firm, a Talent Management firm, and a hosting company. I have been a partner in a promotions company, a fashion photgraphy firm, and a "Work-at-Home" consultation agency.

I currently own and run RIC Services, which is a Small Business Consulting Firm. This is my primary venture, and the one that I hope to continue running for years to come.

I have lived in a number of different countries, and speak Russian fluently.

Other than that, I have been involved with a myriad of projects, and am happy to lend my experience and small bit of knowledge to anyone wanting it!
