I would be interested seeing this developed

Steve,

I think this would be an interesting magazine to develop...especially in light of another magazine that I found has just hit the "shelves"...

Female Entrepreneur.

It could be an interesting cross between Entrepreneur magazine, Business 2.0 and Home Business... but geared towards success stories, tutorials and etc that face the "new, young" Entrepreneur... Focus on the start-ups that "bootstrap" their businesses and focus on running businesses without LARGE venture capital funds or going into serious debt...

I would be very interested in seeing this develop...

I would read it. I would pay for if it were a print magazine (I don't really enjoy reading online, so I don't like paying to do it).

However, I think it is too early. Work on building up this site a lot more before you launch a magazine like this. Have at least 5,000 forum members.

Bleys, I feel the same way - reading online can be inconvenient. I have a special den in my house where I like to sit and read so if it was a print magazine then I'm all for it - too much information is free on the internet and paying for a newsletter just doesn't make sense anymore.

I think it's a great idea, but it would take a lot of people and a lot of hours to put together a monthly magazine. For now it is probably better to further develop this website, and then later on as it grows take a look at the potential for a print version. At this point I think it is really too early, and would rather see work go into the website.

Good idea, maybe a few years down the road when lots of people are hitting these boards frequently, you can come out with a magazine. The two could have a synergistic (is that a word?)effect in getting new members for both the magazine and the forum.

Not a bad idea but I think the members above my posts have mentioned everything.

It takes dedicated and motivated (all of us ) editors and writers to startup a magazine printout.

It would also be easy if the magazine printout were once a quarter system....less work.

i think a magazine is a great idea. and like others have said, probably down the line. but for the interim, what would be cool would be to develop your article section. those links are pretty old. perhaps even allow some of us to contribute, and at the same time promote our own businesses. i know i'd contribute some advice and how to avoid pitfalls. i think more than just success whats helpful are the blunders that were made on the path to greatness. definitely more interesting and gives more insight i think to what it takes to starting a successful company.

for instance, let's say that i write an article on how to find a vendor or something along those lines, then at the end of it, it woudl just state what i do, my position, etc. kinda like a signature.

thats my two cents.

I'd be interested. I was subscribed to the Entrepreneur magazine company but I found that half the pages in there were ads, so I didn't renew my subscription.
