Hello there to all of you...
This is Adam, one of the founders of YoungEntrepreneur.com.
I thought that this would probably be a perfect place to explain a little more detail about the current stage of YE. As you all have noticed and commented, our site has changed. We have done the much needed upgrade to the Vbulletin program which should offer more features. It is in no way finished and the look and feel will soon improve! I'll be perfectly honest with all of you, neither myself nor Matthew (other original founder) have any technical ability when it comes to websites, design etc. So, we need to do what all of us non-techies do and that is put your trust into a 'designer' to take your verbalized thoughts and ideas and put them into action. There are plenty of things that we would like to see on YE and they are currently in the works. These are taking longer than we had hoped. We had started YE back in 1999 purely as a resource to assist other Young Entrepreneur's with their starting or managing a business venture. Not for profit, just to help! We have kept YE as an open forum now for almost 6 years and not charged a penny to any of our members as we plan on keeping the site free. I also agree that both myself and Matthew are not on the site as frequent as we'd like to be as we own a few growing companies and like other entrepreneurs, find ourselves working 14-16 hour days. Hopefully all of our hard work is going to pay off and soon we'll be able to dedicate many hours in front of the computer just posting and moderating our growing YE site. With the new upgrade our site's google rankings have already began to grow and should continue as you can see when you type in Young Entrepreneur we are #1 out of almost 3 million sites and we are #7 on the word Entrepreneur out of over 20 million sites. So, the moral to this story is that YES, we are definately here to support our fellow entrepreneurs in their business journeys and we appreciate any and all of your feedback as we grow YE. If you have any suggestions or ways you feel you can assist, please don't hesitate to contact me directly at:
emailbizguy@hotmail.com
We are looking for people to help us with full access moderating, e-newsletters, regular site updates, writers etc. If you or anyone you know would be experienced in any of the above skills, please have them contact me and we can discuss a win/win scenerio.
Once again, thanks for your support and we look forward to growing the YE site together.
