Ok, this link was posted on a Nevada based webboard in the economy section. It's a Washington Post story about RV plant workers who are down on their luck.

Can anybody see the multiple problems with this dysfunctional family, and why they're buying lottery tickets (that they can't afford) to get rich? Besides the fact that they have zero ambition, they spend their money on junk-cigarettes, beer, fast food, lottery tickets. The son has an Xbox and a D average, yet he gets to keep the Xbox and his grades elicit only mild whining from dad. They get $2800 a month together in total unemployment benefits yet can't pay a whopping $550 rent. The wife would rather collect unemployment than work. The hubby seems to prefer drinking beer (and then driving) to looking for a job. She has a Blackberry (why not break the contract, I've broken contracts, paid the fees, and moved on), they all have cell phones. He made $50k in 2007 and spent every cent. These are the people who DO win lotteries, and who shovel the money out the door as fast as it comes in and end up in the same place-broke.
