Why are MLMers so enthusiastic?
Why is it on the RichDad forums (and other boards), MLM people seem to be so excited?
I mean yeah business in general is exciting, but it can't be THAT exciting! It seems every post goes along "I'm so excited about this, oh I can't wait!".

These people are excited because they have a dream. Granted, some have a dream of 'get rich quick' and will disappear when they realise there is work involved.
The rest have a dream, and the MLM products, Rich Dad methods, or whatever, they view as the path to realizing their dream.
The dream is what excites them, the excitement is what drives them, and the drive is what will take them to the top.
I find it fascinating and awesome!

Not to mention the fact that they aren't going to get many people interested in joining if they say that it's dull, boring and takes up loads of their time
Are you part of an MLM scheme, Karen?

Nope, not a part of one.
I did however, teach accounting / financial / budgeting skills to a group of people who were in Amway. I was lucky enough to be invited along to several of their networking / mentoring events.
I met incredible people, and had an incredible time.

I have been to a convention for a company called Mannatech, which has an MLM system. The enthusiasm from these people is amazing! I must say they have a good reason to be!

I've been to several of the MLM conventions and they are always excited. However, I usually hear only good points being mentioned and never any words about hard work. One to mention is Quixtar, which has a religious foundation. I find that aspect to be a little strange at the conventions. I will point out that I'm no longer involved with any MLM. They tried to tell me that I was truly running my own business, when in reality I was just reselling high priced products.

To bad this was from 2003
MLMers are so excited because say what you want about Network marketing. But for people like me, my best times growing up were while my Dad worked hard for a good year and half. Then he was always home, coached me playing Ice Hockey, Basebal, and Soccer. Bringing in 15,000 + a month working or not. Its true freedom if you have the ambition and drive to make it work. JEP

Network Marketing is hard work. Period. However it can also be very rewarding. Focus on the product you market and customers that your product will appeal to. Look after your customers and you will succeed.
Once you start to think of your own financial success then it bcomes even harder..!

Hey delta, I'm curious what is your definition of a "real" business? I am not saying this with any intention to flame or bash you. I plainly could not understand what you meant about reselling a product is not a business.

MLM is like brainwash, like a sect. No MLM company has competitive products, the only people making money are the ones at the very top of the ladder. Let's be objective.
