Quite frankly, I think the economy as a whole will prosper much more under the Obama administration, than the McCain administration. Historically democrats have been synonimous with economic prosperity, so I'd say Obama. Don't listen to all the talk about taxes, that's just talk, what will help small businesses is economic stability, which democrats can bring. That's why I say vote Obama.

There are many pros to McCain too, but I find Obama best for US

Well, alot of it depends on the industry of the small business, and how much it brings in. Senator Obama has said many times that businesses making $250k and up will be taxed at a much higher rate. During the past two weeks, both Obama and Biden have mentioned incomes even as low as $100k per year will have higher taxes.

Even beyond the tax issue, what worries me most as a small business owner and employer is his insistence on regulating small business health plans. I cannot afford to provide health care to my workers. They understand this, and have private plans purchased through AETNA (which are actually cheaper and better than anything I could provide).

If I am going to be fined for not offering healthcare, I will be forced to lay off workers.

Without the workers, I won't be able to fulfill my contracts.

If I can't fulfill my contractual obligations, I will not make any money.

If my cash flow suffers, I will close my business, and all of my employees will be unemployed.

To myself and my employees, an Obama presidency would be devastating. McCain has his own problems, but he isn't going to put me out of business. My family and I came here from the former Soviet Union to escape Communism. My parents had nothing, and have made something of themselves. I grew up poor, and now own my own business and can call myself a success (more or less). Do I believe that the government is allowed to take everything that I've worked hard for, and give it to someone that is too lazy to find a job? Of course not! I hate that my family and I escaped one socialist nation, only to find that the U.S. is so eagerly trying to head in the same direction.

To be totally honest, with only one day left, if you don't know who you want to vote for, when you have two candidates that are so far apart on their policies. PLEASE DON'T VOTE, you don't have enough time to figure it out based on what some folks on a web forum are going to tell you.

I don't care what anyone tells you. In four years, at least a month before the next election, start looking at what the candidates have said over the past four years, and then make your own decision.

God save us all, when people are trying to decide the course of our country for the next four years, in the last 24 hours.

I think that McCain will be the winner of the elections and he does his best to suit people's needs.

With thread titles like, "Who doing the most for small business oboma or mccain?" I think voting should be the least of your worries.

You spelled "oboma" incorrectly, and "who doing" certainly doesn't sound like proper English. It really makes me question the sobriety of some people who post on these forums. If English is your first language and you are a US citizen, then this is certainly unacceptable.

You are obviously at least 18. How have you been running your small business that you claim to care so much about with spelling/grammar issues like these?

I find it sad that most of the people who vote are the least educated. Not to mention, you don't even know enough about the candidates that you are still deciding the day before the election. Good luck with the small business.

The U.S. is in such a sad state, I'm not sure either one will be able to make a positive difference. Unfortunately, I think things have to get worse before they get better. We as a nation are so used to having what we want when we want it, that it will be very hard for people to stop spending like they were used to. Even people who have already filed bankruptsy, are still over-spending. Prayer may be the only thing to help.

So says another person who can't spell. I'm sorry that most people can't accept the truth.

Thanks for the input but you kinda went around my question and somehow found a lot between the lines that's not correct. I already decided on who I was voting for I simply wanted to know what everyone else was thinking and some of their reasons why.

I've already voted but I'm still interested in hearing the reasons you made your choice if can focus on the question at hand for a sec

Thanks for the personal attack, very entertaining. I was kinda worried this thread would get a lot of flamers for political reasons.

Just in case no one told you. The main point of a forum is to contribute to the topic. Most people also try and make friends and help people out. You may have a lot of pride for your grammar and spelling but your post clearly shows a lack of social skills and the inability to read a simple question and provide and intelligent answer.

Now that we've shared our useless opinions of each other that we gained from an entire sentence or two. I'd like to welcome you to share your opinions on who you feel will do more for small businesses.

I provided an intelligent answer to an unintelligently-posed question. Nice job contradicting yourself by personally attacking my lack of social skills.

I wrote in Ron Paul. I believe he would have been better for all business, as he would most likely put America back on the gold standard, thereby stabilizing our currency.

However, it doesn't really matter in the end. Now that Obama is president, you may want to learn how to spell his name correctly.

I think that now my post is not useful in order to point you the direction for your vote, but it seems to me that Obama has more better ideas towards small business.
