I'm sure we all watched movies that inspired us to do certain things.
The movies that motivate me the most are:
1) Casino - I just love the mafia essence because in reality mafias actually run businesses. The whole idea of DeNiro running a casino and trying to take something that was illegitimate and make it legit was just fascinating to me.
2) Pursuit of Happyness - I'm sure we all have seen this. If you haven't then you absolutely have to watch it. The story of a man who literally had nothing, worked his butt off and made it to the top...just inspiring. But more importantly, it really shows the struggle.
3) E-Dreams - a documentary on an early internet company Kozmo.com. It shows how the CEO built up a successful internet company and then lost it because the business failed. There's alot that entrepreneurs can learn from this film, as it is a documentary so it really happened.
4) Cocaine Cowboys - yes its about the drug trade. Its actually a documentary on a few big time drug dealers and runners in Miami in the early 90's or late 80's(not sure). I like it because the drug trade is still a business and this documentary shows the economic success of certain people who were involved. They lived lavish and luxurious lifestyles, a part you dont get to see too often. The luxury aspect of the movie doesnt motivate me really, the part of this documentary that motivates me is the economic part of it. The demand/supply explanations and the logistics of the whole industry.
I'm an economics major so i just love stuff like that lol
