    Which franchise?

This question is similar to another one. If you could choose to open a franchise, which one would it be? I would choose Subway.

I see a lot of potential for Subway. The best thing about them is their healthy selection of food. I think this will play a big role in their growth in years to come. Many Americans are overweight and are looking for that magic pill and Subway offers them that choice (also 33% of Americans want to lose weight) Their offer great food at great prices. The possibilities are endless. However, I would like to open my own health restaurant/fast food but it would be very difficult to compete with Subway.

Subway is a good choice. I have feeling the health industry is going to just get bigger. Everywhere I look, people are on diets and the baby boomer's are more worried about their health and what they eat.

I myself even stay healthy, eat good and lift weights with some cardio. I spend a good amount of money on protein and creatine supplements. Also, I have been seeing more and more people stay away from pop. I myself haven't touched pop in a year.

Haha kids used to make fun of me for sayng "pop" when I moved down to Texas from Michigan.... They were acutally really mean about it, stupid kids... haha

I would pick subway as one too. Esp with that daily deal they've got going on. Think about it, if you keep a bottle of water every day (buy them in the 20 bottle packages, that's about $20 if you drink 3 bottles a day) and then you only end up spending $60 a month on the sandwiches if they get the one on special. $80 a month for lunch is very affordable and if that means spending a little extra in order to not have the headache of preparing a lunch, then that is fine with me.

Also, Starbucks is good. Highly rated by it's employees, just not as health concious.

Yeah I actually though about putting soda pop, I think thats how other say it. I don't know, to me that sounds awkward.

Also, Starbucks is another good choice. We have a lot of starbucks in my city, and they all seem to do well.

Wow that pretty sums up what I do. What protein supplement do you take?

Optimum 100% Whey Double Rich Chocolate. I actually have been using creatine from wal mart, the brand is Body Fortress. I have been taking it for a few months, and have seen a lot of improvement and have had some compliments from people as well.

i was actually very close to aquiring a 7-Eleven
they require 90k in liquid assets and your set.

but. decided to look for more "exciting" options.
although it would be easy to set up and manage i think.

I think Subway would be a good opportunity, except for one problem: the market is quite saturated. You may find it difficult to locate in an area that will sustain your business, while also providing immediate support - which is also not already established.

But, I don't think that's an insurmountable obstacle - you may just have to re-locate.

Has starbucks started franchising to the average person? To my knowledge they still own and run every single shop except those located in grocery stores. My dad is actually in the middle of leasing space to starbucks right now, and thats the latest info that I have heard.

Anyway...sounds like we have a bunch of smart people here; I would choose subway as well. They have proven to be a stable company compared to the other sandwhich shops and are still relatively cheap to get into. McDonalds is still a great choice from a stictly money point of view; if you have an extra 2 million laying around to throw at one.

This should answer your question about Starbuck's franchising to individuals.
