    Where am I at?

Hey guys - first post here.

Iv always been into business and have thousands of ideas running round in my head but decided to pick on and go with it.

Its going to be a business with its own brand etc - (dont feel comfortable talking about the specifics at the moment)

    1) I developed the idea/product
    2) Researched the market
    3) Created advertising ideas etc
    4) Created a website layout on photoshop - I know nothing about making websites

I have a ton of ideas as to how to promote this business but I dont know where to go from here.

This is what I think I should do -

    1) Find someone to help design then produce a prototype of the product
    2) Produce the packaging for the prototype
    3) Get the website up and running

then my mind goes blank - Im guessing its alot of legal stuff etc

Im doing this for experiance so I can turn any idea into a business in the future.

Just wondering what steps I should take from here (The business wont have a storefront for the time being but will sell my own products with my own brand online)

    Hello David,

I would like to suggest you to start affiliate marketing, which is the best way to promote any business with your interested niche.

    Hey thanks for the reply

Are you saying I should pay people a commision every time they direct someone to my site who buys a product?
    or
Are you saying I should be the person directing people to others sites to obtain commisions?

If I do do affiliate marketing I will need to get my website/product etc up first and will need to do all the legal stuff. I dont know how to do alot of this (this is my first business attempt) and I am trying to read up on it as I go - even trying to teach myself Dreamweaver >.<

    Thanks for the help =]

    Hey David,

My suggestion is to make sure that you can get traffic to your website. There’s no point on spending all that money on building the product, and the packaging, and the prototype, and all the legal stuff around that if you can’t actually get people who want to buy stuff in that niche to your website.

So what I’d be doing is get your website up and running, making sure you can get traffic to the site and possibly preorders, or get people to subscribe to want to know more information about that product. Just make sure that people are willing to take action in that space before you go and waste all those time and money building the product. The greatest product in the world won’t make you any money if you can’t get people to find out about it and open their wallets to buy it. That’d be my suggestion on where to start.

    Cheers,
    Pete
