I think you ideas are great. Keep up the good work. What I always say when I am starting a new company is HOW AM I GOING TO SELL IT. Because this is the most important thing. You need to be able to know how you are going to sell it. No matter how great of a product you create, its greatness lies with your ability to sell. So I think you product looks amazing, but read up on marketing/advertising/sales. The best of luck to you.

We got the marketing/sales strategy onlock.. Season 1 + 2 are sold out.. now advancing to Season 3. Sales have been steady, strong, but I want to take it even further globally =) Our main market is U.S, Europe, SEA.

Thanks for the input though, bro, hope all is going well for you!

Are you using this lookbook to target wholesale buyers? The pics are nice but in a lot of them it is tough to really get a clear image of some of the clothing. Do you have another place for prospects to go and get a clearer view of the garments you have for sale?

Design wise, the concept of the site is good, but you've got a few problems.

Loading time takes to long when a picture is selected from the scroll bar.
Optimize the pictures. Either make them lower res, or use a better file type before embedding them in Flash. 24bit PNG files are pretty tight.

It's hard to see what the clothes REALLY look like. The photos are great PHOTOS, but they don't show off the clothes all that well. In some the lighting's too low, in others, the models bend in a way that creases the designs.
Maybe a way around that is to have a secondary picture show up with just the raw design image (just don't put it up in vector form)

But yeah, from what I can see, it's pretty neat urban wear. Not what I'm into, but I see plenty of people in the city in that sort of gear.
Have you thought about knocking on the doors of some of the "independent chains"? I dunno what they are in the the States, but in Australia, it's places like JJs and PCorp

some images are great and others are just shithouse... bad lighting colour and angle... the ones that are great pop off the screen where the others are a strain on the eyes... have a look over them and you'll see what i mean

i agree with the load times. Good stuff by the way! It would be nice to see the clothing and shirts without people attached to them so we can see more clearly your designs and not be distracted. Keep it up

I love your concept of combining streetwear and business.

For your site I suggest you don't repeat the clothes so you can get the message out there easier without having to flip through so many pictures.

And I think you should have a mission statement/about us somewhere on the website.

lol thanks for all the replies! I purposefully didnt want to take close up shots on the tees because the lookbook was only going to be a feature section on our official website (which will be up and running this month)

Close up shots are available on our online store... luxlivin.bigcartel.com

Just to answer some questions, Tjohnson, I produce 80 pieces per each design.. but I keep on restocking if the product sells well.. I don't really have a limited edition sale since I think that's not how I should start out. Gotta keep the customers demand fulfilled! And Coleman, I got inspiration from being a fan of the streetwear scene and business itself.. thought I would merge the two and distinguish the concept of the line differently from just another 'lifestyle' street brand.

    Thanks for all responses though!

I'm impressed... I think this is a great way to get your product some attention. I'm going to send a link to this thread to someone who is starting a line in FL. I think she'll get a lot of ideas from this.... very nice
