What/Who inspired your Entreprenuerial soul?

For me, I'd have to say my Grandfather. He was orphaned at the age of 9 due to his mothers death and his father abandoned him. He worked tending goats in Mexico for several years and sometimes had little or nothing to eat besides goat milk. Up until this point, he owned the FIRST movie theater in that Mexican town. He also owned the FIRST dance club in the town and had another spot with club potential. He then sold this one and sold all the movie theater equipment and just rents off one of the clubs for parties. He also owns a lot of land which he builds houses and grows corn. People rumor he made all of this happen with a treasure he found-- as you can imagine thats complete bogus. Who/What inspired you?

I'd have to say my first boss at a grocery store. I didn't keep that job very long...got it for the wrong reason anyway...worked there just to see this girl that liked me...and vice versa...but quit within 2 weeks and have been self-employed since. I hate having a boss! I can't stand having someone tell me when I should come into work, when to take a break...etc. I'll work or take a break when I feel like it.

Id have to say, minimum wage jobs, college and maybe i have a little of it in my blood, my dad and grandfather both work for themselves. But ill tell you this much, I dont wanna work a pay by the hour job, ever... and college is a lot of work, Id rather not be forced to become a doctor to make a decent wage. which would explain why i changed my major from premed to business

Seeing people who I'm certain are less intelligent than me still making large amounts of money because they can climb the ladder by kissing butt, but only make it so far.
I want to be on top of that ladder with those people kissing my butt

Yeah, it was the corporate whores that did it for me. I worked for a couple really big companies, one in the adult entertainment industry and seeing the sheep baaahing around all day just kills me. It's not a matter of being an entrepreneur sometimes, just seeing the world around you and knowing you don't fit in to simple and silent acquiescence is enough to do it.

I always tell me kids that had they been born mentally retarded I could have dealt with that, but voluntary ignorance is unacceptable.

The impossibly crowded, dirty and dangerous London Underground Tube system did it for me. I just couldn't stand commuting 4 hours a day to work any more, and that pushed me to take the leap into building up my own website-based businesses.

Now I commute for just 17 seconds to get to my business abode in the morning - from my bedroom to my desk overlooking the view from my living room balcony.

Bliss!

One book of a thousand business books read. Not that the book was the magic dust for me but it took me to an exponentual level as it shows regular people as many here can take an idea and turn it into a Fortune 500 company. The language of the book was so simple my dog could understand and it was packed with more real cases and lessons than ANY 50 BOOKS YOU CAN FIND COMBINED...trust me.

This book can literally give you 200 eye opening points that you will never want to forget as most books give you two or three. READ IT! It is probably responsible for my level today.

The book is called "If It Ain't Broke Break It" by Robert Kriegel. I knicknamed this book "The Bible of Business" because this in the one book that you must learn the philosophies inside to really become great in business.

Robert Kriegel is one of the very most sought after speakers for Fortune 100 companies. I recently contacted him and told him how I feel. He said he will now be showing my product at his seminars and we are supposed to meet.

For me it was a collection of people and things. My father has been a business owner for a long time now so he was my first inspiration. For this reason, I began to read some books here and their which also attributed to my "Entrepreneurial Soul."
