Wink What time do you wake up?

I know that some entrepreneurs are famous for waking up at ridiculously early hours of the morning to get a head start on everyone else. As much as I'd like to be one of these people, I'm too young to be waking up any earlier than sunrise haha.

In addition, I know that some work-o-holics get by on only a few hours of sleep a day. I'm one of those people that needs at least 7 solid hours of sleep to have a functional day.

So out with it folks: How much sleep do you average a night and when do you wake up?

Me: I try to get around 7 hours, but 8 would be ideal. I try to wake up at 8AM every day, but sometimes I snooze to around 8:30 or 9:00 depending on what time i went to bed.

I wake up around 6:30am in order to get to my job (not my entrepreneurial projects) from 7:30am to 3:30pm. If I had my way, I'd sleep in until around noon, as I work best in the midnight timeframe (11pm to 2am-ish)

I wake up around 8AM, sometimes lounge around until about 9AM. Then work the web until about 6PM and again around 10PM for my "final rounds" .

Lol if I didn't know better I would of thought that was me posting that. I get up at 630 for my day job which ends at 330 and my ideal situation would be get up at about 10-12 and stay up really late because I find it much easier to get work done on things without phone calls, IMs on MSN and plus Im a big Oiler fan (hockey) got season tickets and that so I get busy during the evenings so I like to stay up late and work in peace.

yeah, i'd be interested to see the poll for how late do you stay up. I am much more productive late in the evening...but i guess it depends on what, because i can't be calling people at midnight.

    Very nice thread,

I tend to hit the hay around 12 Midnight, and wake up 9-10AM. This fits in really well for the business I operate. I really like 9-10 hours sleep each night, i really don't know how people can go 5 hours sleep every night...

    Im a late riser!

Tend to wake up naturally between 9am - 11am depending how late I was up the night before.

I tend to be at my most productive between 8pm - 3am, and frequently stay up to beyond 1-2am working on my sites / business.

I am lucky that my businesses are not affected by me working set hours, but boy do I work......

Since my work is during night time.My work starts at 10 pm until 7 am the next day. I usually go to bed around 8 am then wake up around 5 pm.

So I can say I go to bed early...very early I might say.

How does everyone stay in bed so long? You can't make money while you are sleeping. If you sleep 2 hours less then what you are now you get 14 hours extra a week to do sumthing proactive with yourself.

Yes but if you are tired and cant function during those extra 14 hours you will make mistakes and not be productive at all, you'll just get frustrated!

Its about using the time you have in a clever way (i.e organisation, not messing about etc etc), not necessarily about having as much time as god can give!

For me it varies. Usually Mon-Fri, I have to wake up at 6AM to bring my brother to the bus. If I have to be to work at like say between 7:30 and 9AM, then I stay up. If I am off or if I go into work at a later time, I may go back to bed for a bit and wake up after 8 or so.
