What programs/gidgets should i use?

I got an Acer Desktop from a family member, and was curious to see what my fellow entrepreneurs use with their desktop? I have Windows Vista & all standard specs... nothing fancy but it gets the job done

well what gadgets do they use in general, shouldn't have stated as 'with there desktop'.
Althouh, there are some programs people use that are downloaded onto ones' desktop.

I would definitely suggest getting MS Office on their perhaps a design studio for graphic designing and multiple browsers for development. Just keep it simple and always save your stuff on an external hard drive. Far too many people loose all their data on their computers so have a USB connected external hard drive for your use. I personally feel that DELL would be the best option. I am also using DELL's desktop for last two years with win vista. Its doing the best for me. But i think you can't do anything because you have already purchase it. I hope your desktop will do the best for you.

I am using MSI laptop. It is 4 month's old. It has simple programs that I need in my work.

What about specific widgets or applications? ...i personally use netvibes, but that's onlie-based.
