Lightbulb What is the best business to start while in college?
We all want to start or own business! It started when we wer kids with selling candy, shoveling snow, cutting grass.

Those entrepreneurial endeavors have planted seeds in us that now us college students want to take it to the next level. So what is the best business to begin while in college, when there are less financial worries and more opportunities!

wants to hear your ideas on what you think is the best!

One of the ways is to make a marketing scheme and work on it constantly. Article marketing is an enormous way to start.

Perhaps you should look into starting up something within college - it's a great place to conduct discrete market research and you already know the basic demographics such as age, gender ratio (as a rough figure) so you've got a good position to start.

As for what to do, well there's alot. Perhaps you could start by selling things within college or it could be as simple as advertising a service/product your offering/selling outside of college, after all it's a place of education and people are eager to learn new things and often quite happy to help you out.

Is there any business tutor's you can speak to about this, perhaps they can set you on the right track. My main piece of advice is to do something you can manage easily; the last thing you want is for it to overwhelm you and put you in a position of college or business.

Good luck

Maybe try writing and selling some e-books. They seem to do well and it dosen't cost anything to write a story that is useful to another!!!

I am sure that in college you could manage a computer or online company well. You will be using your computer a lot in college, anyway.

Hands down, my vote would have to go with online network marketing. Here's why:

1) VERY small startup cost. One program I'm working with is only $25 to start a complete business online, complete with TONS of support and training.

2) Easy to market for FREE. Yes, with social media being a big part of most people's lives now, marketing and branding yourself among all these communities is not only easy, but also FREE. And results can be mind blowing if you know the right strategies.

3) Literally an unlimited income potential. If you want more income, simply setup another income funnel system like I teach, then start prmoting it. I have dozens of these all bringing in thousands per month each. And the thing is, Im no one special I just got the right information.

4) Income and profit can be made through an online networking business within days. Traditional businesses may take months or even YEARS to start seeing a profit.

Anyways, just my $.02

Online marketing is the new wave. I would take it up a notch and develop something that prospective college students could and would use. (Niche market idea).

Our company is focused on developing these ideas and helping people get started. Let us know if we can be of any help.

the word 'best' is relative to who's observing but in my opinion the best business business for someone in college would be something on the internet. If you think you got what it takes, check out network marketing. I've seen many college students get into a network marketing business. Hopes this help and best of luck

I agree with ACB123.... college students are social interactive beings, don't get yourself stuck behind a computer a slave to 'income streams'. Open your eyes to the people around you and find a niche

I want to jump to the obvious and say "Hey man, get on the internet, you can make great money from Google!" ... But there are ways of making money other than through the internet.

I think organizing a business venture with your college or doing something that interacts with the students could be a profitable venture. Start a college magazine, social network, organize and promote parties/clubs or start a business selling something that appeals to students so you can flog it off to your friends and grow it from there....
