What has inspired you to be an entrepreneur?

Just wondering what made everyone one day think "that's what I want to do!". For me it was several things, watching programs like Dragon's den and The Apprentice, having so many ideas and just wanting to turn them all into reality and I currently hate my school, I want to do something, be a leader, run a company, drive up to the Reunion and say, "Oh, yeah, that is my Ferrari! Maybe you should have noticed me at school?" oh and I want to do something I love, something that's my own...so share!

Most successful entrepreneurs however, don't see themselves as particularly brave. In fact, they do a lot of homework and make necessary planning that take into account any possibility of failure.

    I don't want to work 9-5.

I want to spend my time enjoying life without having to worry about money.

My husband and I are inspired to go into business for ourselves because #1 We want to NOT have to want for money and just live from pay check to paycheck... #2 We want to do something that we enjoy, even something we LOVE to do...#3 We want to provide our communities with something that many people don't have and encourage socialization within the surrounding communities...#4 We want to open a Christian place of business so that we can be a witness to those who may not believe, or those who feel there is no place to turn, and show them that there is somewhere they can go where they are cared for.

-I simply don't like the fact that I will be a corporate slave for the rest of my life only to find out that I will be too old with very little money.
-want to be independent, strong, powerful
    -have my own identity
-make a difference in the society ( You can't help others unless you help yourself first!!!)

I'm in it for the challenge (and money). Although you can have a job that does challenge you, I feel like starting my own businesses is more challenging and lets me use my imagination at my own free will.

I started my entrepreneurial career due to opportunity. Starting a business is all about taking advantage of opportunities. If there is a need for something that is not currently being met or you feel like you can do something better than exisitng businesses and you feel like you can meet that need then its simple - become an entrepreneur!
Help! I need a name for a neighborhood BAR I am opening!

jeez im only 20 and am realizing money should not be on the top of my priority lists for being an entrepreneur. I would much rather have stability, and an enjoyment of operation and most importantly free time. If you only focus on money you can go ahead and say bye-bye to the above.
